Distributed Control System, shorted for DCS, refers to the control system during production process.

Remote terminal unit, shorted for RTU, is an embedded computer control system designed for long distance communication and harsh industrial environments. It is used to connect the end detection instruments and the actuators with the remote host computer, capable of data acquisition, control and communication. it can receive operating instructions from remote host computer and control the operations of end actuators.
Expansion I/O module is the expanded product of compact RTU. Etrol’s expansion I/O module could not only be used as a remote I/O, but also work with the compact RTU as the expansion module of RTU. It can also be connected to the standard products of other companies through standard network communication protocols and communication interfaces.
